About PTM

Property Tax Management, LLC (PTM), had its genesis in the tax consulting firm of Gilbreath and Associates. The founder, Bill Gilbreath, decided to retire from the daily rigors of running a successful business. The company was purchased by Daniel J. Shea in 1996, who renamed the company Property Tax Management, LLC.

Prior to purchasing the company, Dan held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Controller of four different organizations in industry and higher education. His diversified background includes finance, accounting, mergers, acquisitions and marketing.

PTM provides two main services to its clients. First, is the area of business Personal Property Taxes, PTM accurately prepares and files the annual personal property renditions in a professional and timely manner with local tax authorities. Later, as required, PTM defends the taxpayer in the event of an audit or appeal.

Second, is the area of Real Estate Taxes. These taxes can often be troublesome especially after a real estate reappraisal by the local assessor. In such circumstances, PTM can often provide enormous help to a business whose real estate assessed value has been radically increased.

Other services include: auditing assessments and tax bills, handling personal property tax audits, writing checks, paying tax bills, preparing annual accruals, and relief from many other time consuming tax burdens.
